Sean Madlem

Associate Portfolio Manager

As Associate Portfolio Manager, Sean is responsible for portfolio trading and related model management analysis, preparation of investment portfolio performance packages for client, prospect and internal purposes, conduct asset class and security level research, perform support work for monthly Investment Policy Committee meetings, and maintain contact with research and software vendors. Sean graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with an emphasis on Military History from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, he was a scholar athlete playing football. Sean continues furthering his own academic pursuits in history, economics, statistics, and rhetorical theory and criticism. Outside of Avalan, Sean spends his time hiking, golfing, practicing archery, and coaching high school football. He lives with his wife, Rebekah.
